Our Junior Leadership Team and Head Griffins had a wonderful afternoon visiting our neighbors at Oakwood Gardens recently. It was a heartwarming bridge between the past and the future!
The children sat down with the residents for a fascinating “then and now” chat.
Our leaders shared what they love about Bedworth today, while the residents took them on a trip down memory lane, describing how our town’s streets and shops have transformed over the decades.
The highlight of the visit was a hands-on history lesson! The residents taught our children all about “old money”—from pounds and pence to the days of shillings and crowns. It’s safe to say our Griffins were glad they don’t have to do that much math just to buy some sweets!
We are so proud of how our children listened with curiosity and represented our school with such kindness. A huge thank you to the staff and residents at Oakwood Gardens for welcoming us so warmly.
