Deaf Awareness Week

We had a truly inspiring start to the day this morning! A huge thank you to Miss Badland for leading a powerful and eye-opening assembly for Deaf Awareness Week.

Miss Badland shared a moving insight into what life is like for those who are deaf or hard of hearing. From the daily challenges of navigating a world built for sound to the incredible resilience and vibrant culture within the deaf community, we all walked away with a much deeper understanding of the impact of hearing loss.

We didn’t just listen—we got involved! Miss Badland taught us our first signs, helping us bridge the communication gap.

Communication isn’t just about hearing; it’s about seeing, feeling, and understanding one another.

Look out for details about our sign language club starting next term.
